However, it certainly makes sense, especially when Jesse becomes as meticulous as Walter is about cooking.

As Katie pointed out, it is strange to think about the fact that Walter is Jesse’s role model, given the type of situation that this is applied to. This week’s post was extremely interesting! I love how you incorporated the fact that Jesse was switching roles and becoming “Walter” in his relationship with Badger. The next day, Walter showed up at Jesse’s front door asking to cook with him again.

As they are walking out, Skylar asked if Elliot would be paying Walter smiled and nodded. At the very end of the episode, Walter and his family go to the doctor’s office for Walter to receive his first round of radiation. After seeing how Skylar reacted to his decision, though, Walter decided to give in and receive treatment. He wanted to live rather than just survive. In his rebuttle, Walter stated that he did not want to be sick and weakly, unable to do things for himself. Skylar’s argument was that she wanted Walter to be alive to see their baby girl. Walter Jr expressed frustration with Walter because he was too scared to get treatment and have it hurt while he, Walter Jr, has been suffering with a walking disability all his life. She, Hank, Hank’s wife Marie and Walter Jr would all talk to Walter and plead with him to starting receiving treatment Walter had been refusing to go get treatment. At the same time, Skylar decided it was necessary to have a sit down with Walter. Instead of calling Walter, however, Walter Jr called Hank, his uncle and Walter’s brother-in-law. Later the next night, Walter Jr and his friends got caught trying to buy alcohol by an undercover cop. She did not seem to have a problem with finding ways to obtain money for the treatment but, Walter would not let himself or his wife beg for money he had too much pride. Water politely declined the job offer and confronted Skylar later. At that moment, Walter knew, Skylar had told Elliot about his lung cancer and that is why he was being offered the job, for the health insurance to pay for treatment. While talking to Walter, Elliot offered him a job at the company stating that they have great health insurance. If Walter had decided to work for a company instead of teaching, he and Skylar would not have to worry about paying for radiation therapy for his lung cancer. As Walter glances around, he realized that this is the life he and Skylar could have had, full of grandeur. Meanwhile, Walter and Skylar were attending a birthday party for Walter’s old colleague, Elliot. While their activities had not been legal, Walter, unknowingly, instilled in Jesse a strong work ethic and appreciation for chemistry. Jesse became Walter, paying fastidious attention to detail and throwing out three batches because it was not right, not the way Walter made it Badger became Jesse, ignorant and a bother. However, after a little persuasion, Jesse agreed to cook again with his old friend. When Badger asked if he was selling, Jesse responded that he was “retired” from that line of work. Aggravated, Jesse stormed out and bumped into his old friend, Badger, who had the job Jesse stormed out over. Jesse was applying to work for the business sector of the company, Arroyo Reality, because he had a lot of experience in “business” (aka selling meth) but, the manager decided that if Jesse was to work for Arroyo he would be in costume standing on the street, drawing in customers. However, he did not realize that he was not adequate for the job because he had no prior experience or college degree. He decided to try to get his life together by applying for a job.
